Dhaka: Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Commissioner Sheikh Mohammad Sajjat Ali today stated there is no security threat on the Dhaka University campus ahead of the DUCSU election. “The campus has remained secure over the past 10 days, and it will remain so tomorrow as well. Our security measures will be in place until 6:30 pm on September 10. If necessary, the duration will be extended. And till now there is no security threat ahead of the DUCSU polls,” he said.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the DMP commissioner made these remarks this afternoon at a press conference in the TSC area of Dhaka University. He noted that steps have been taken to ensure security on the campus, including prohibiting the carrying of licensed firearms from 8 pm tonight until 12 pm on September 11.
