Betila: Food Minister Afroza Khanam Rita today emphasized the government's commitment to ensuring that no child's education is interrupted due to financial constraints. She assured that ongoing government assistance and welfare programs will continue to support educational opportunities for children from economically disadvantaged families.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the minister made these remarks at a function where school uniforms were distributed to students at Betila Government Primary School. As the chief guest, she highlighted the importance of education and necessary facilities in building an educated and discrimination-free society. She stated that the current government is actively working towards establishing a social and humane state.
The minister elaborated on various initiatives being implemented to encourage students in their studies. These include providing educational materials to make the educational journey easier and more fulfilling. Afroza Khanam Rita stressed that enhancing the quality of education is crucial for the country's progress and that today's students will be instrumental in the nation's future. Creating a conducive educational environment and fostering intellectual and creative development are vital state responsibilities, she noted.
The Food Minister also urged students to attend school regularly and study diligently. She called on teachers to be sincere and responsible in their teaching, playing a role in nurturing students' moral and humanitarian values.
The event was chaired by the Deputy Commissioner of the district, Nazmun Ara Sultana, and attended by Police Super Mohammad Sarwar Alam, district and upazila-level officials, local leaders, teachers, guardians, and students. Following the uniform distribution, the Betila Union BNP and its associated organizations hosted a mass reception for the Food Minister on the school grounds, presided over by Syed Maksudul Hasan Chowdhury.
