Dhaka: Nine more matches-five in the boys' section and four in the girls' section-of the Tasmery Under-14 School Handball tournament have been concluded on the second day of the event, held at the Shaheed Captain M Mansur Ali National Handball Stadium. According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, in the boys' section, Mitali Bidyapith High School secured a victory over Navy College with an 8-5 scoreline, overcoming a first-half deficit of 3-4. Sunnydale triumphed over Uttar Kafrul High School by 10-1, having dominated the first half with a 5-0 lead. Heed International School narrowly defeated Khaled Haider Memorial High School, with a final score of 5-4, after a 2-2 draw in the first half. Scholastica, Uttara, achieved a clean sheet against Cambrian School and College, winning 7-0 after leading 2-0 at halftime. Narinda Govt. High School overpowered South Point School and College with a 15-5 victory, maintaining a strong 9-3 lead in the first half. In the girls' section, Navy College defeated South Point School and College by 13-4, leading 9-3 at halftime. Sunnydale showcased a commanding performance against Kodomtola Purbo Basabo School, winning 16-1 after an 11-0 first-half lead. Viqarunnisa Noon School and College overcame Scholastica Uttara with a 13-1 win, holding a 6-1 advantage at halftime. Sher-e-Bangla Girls College claimed victory over Navy College with a 6-4 score, leading 4-2 at the break. The tournament features a total of twenty-eight handball teams from schools in Dhaka Metropolis, with sixteen boys' teams and twelve girls' teams participating. The event is sponsored by Tasmery Group and organized by the Bangladesh Handball Federation.
