Barishal: Nine dengue patients were admitted to different hospitals across the country during the past 24 hours till this morning. “During the period, three patients were hospitalised in Barishal division (outside the city corporation) while four in Dhaka South, one in Dhaka north and one in Mymensingh division (outside the city corporation),” said a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the total number of dengue cases has risen to 1,715 this year, with 13 reported deaths due to the disease. Last year, the number of cases reached 1,01,214 with 575 fatalities from the mosquito-borne viral disease.
