Dhaka: In a day-long special operation on Thursday, police arrested nine individuals involved in various criminal activities across the Mohammadpur area of the capital, a police officer said. Deputy Commissioner (Media and Public Relations Division) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Muhammad Talebur Rahman stated that the operation was conducted on Wednesday, targeting both regular case accused and individuals with outstanding warrants.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the arrestees have been identified as Nayan (30), Md Rabbi Hossain (28), Md Masum Matabbor (46), Monglu (50), Md Shaheen (20), Md Rabiul Islam (28), Md Jamal (30), Rana alias Rahmat (20), and Md Manic (23). Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Mohammadpur Police Station Kazi Md Rafique Ahmed mentioned that all the detainees were produced before the court following legal proceedings.
The OC further stated that special operations will continue in order to maintain law and order smoothly in the area.
