Newly appointed Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) of Bangladesh Md Nurul Islam took oath this afternoon.
Chief Justice Hasan Foez Siddique administered the oath to CAG Md Nurul Islam at the Supreme Court Judges Lounge.
Supreme Court Registrar General Md Golam Rabbani conducted the oath taking ceremony, while judges of the Appellate Division, officials of the apex court and Office of the Controller General of Accounts, were present at the function.
The government on July 13 appointed Md Nurul Islam as the new Comptroller and Auditor General of Bangladesh. The president made the appointment as per article 127 (1) of the constitution.
