Dhaka: The newly appointed 184 doctors under the 48th Special Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) Health cadre are set to join their respective posts tomorrow. The health and family welfare ministry has instructed the new recruits to submit their joining letters by 9 am at the Shaheed Abu Sayed International Convention Centre.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, state minister for health and family welfare, Dr. AM Mohith, will attend the joining ceremony as the chief guest. The ceremony will be conducted serially based on the BCS gazette numbers. Officers are required to submit two copies of their joining applications, two photocopies of their national identity cards, and a non-judicial stamp worth Tk 300 containing an undertaking that neither they nor their families would accept or give dowry.
Earlier, the public administration ministry's gazette notification instructed the appointed Special BCS Health cadre officers to appear in person and submit their joining letters on September 7. It was specified that the joining letters must be submitted to the secretary of the health services division.
Out of the recruited officers, 165 have been appointed as assistant surgeons, while 19 have been designated as assistant dental surgeons.
