Chattogram:A newly constructed puja mandap, initiated by Probortok Sangha in Bangladesh, was officially inaugurated today.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Mohanta Maharaj Srimat Kalipada Bhattacharya of Sri Sri Kaibalya Dham conducted the inauguration ceremony this morning, which included traditional religious rituals.
The event featured Srimat Swami Shaktinathanandaji Maharaj, principal of Chattogram Ramakrishna Mission, as the chief guest, while Srimat Swami Tapananda Giri Maharaj, principal of Shankar Math and Mission, presided over the Gita Yajna and recitation ceremony.
Speakers at the event noted that the construction of the puja mandap at the historic Probortok Sangha would inspire the institution's teachers and residential students by integrating spiritual ideals with humanitarian education, promoting opportunities for self-development.
The discussion meeting was chaired by Probortok Sangha President Sri Indu Nandan Dutta and included a welcome speech by Prof. Sri Bangagopal Chowdhury, convener of the puja mandap inauguration sub-committee.
Other speakers included Sangha Secretary Dr. Sri Prokash Biswas, former Chittagong University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Benu Kumar Dey, former Chattogram Education Board Chairman Prof. Dr. Piyush Dutta, and lifetime members of the Sangha, Gobinda Prosun Mahajan and Amit Hor.
The program, coordinated by celebration council coordinator Engineer Jhulan Kumar Das and life member Advocate Trishna Bhattacharya, saw attendance from executive committee members Dr. Ranjit Chowdhury, Dr. Bidyut Biswas, Lion Tapan Kanti Dutta, Engr. Prodip Kumar Das, and Advocate Parimal Chandra Basak.
