Dhaka: Enigma Doel Television, a new OTT (Over-the-Top) medium, is set to commence its journey on May 6 next year, with the aim of enhancing entertainment options in the competitive global market. The announcement was made during a seminar titled 'Let's Talk', organized by Enigma TV, at Alliance Française de Dhaka in the city's Dhanmondi area. According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the seminar revealed that Enigma Doel OTT plans to curate its own programmes, catering to the thoughts and feelings of six crore students across 30,000 schools in the country. The platform aims to produce and broadcast content targeted at audiences aged zero to 25 years. Fahmidul Islam Shantonu, CEO of Enigma TV, addressed the seminar, highlighting the issue of excessive commercialism in current OTT channels, which he believes has led to substandard programming and a negative perception of OTT platforms among the public. Enigma Doel OTT intends to address this by implementing a marketing plan focused on producing high-quality, current, and international programmes suitable for the information technology era. The seminar was attended by Bangladesh Cinema and Television Institute (BCTI) students Rajib, Tanvir Al Hossain, Masrur Chowdhury, and Farhana Akhtar, along with Ajkalerkhobor Staff Reporter Ahmed Tepantor and Bangladesh Pratidin Staff Reporter Mustafa Motihar. The CEO also emphasized that Enigma Doel Television will work to promote local culture throughout Bangladesh, starting from the divisional level and extending its reach to the international arena.
