Dhaka: Nepalese defender Bimala BK has arrived in the capital today to join Bangladesh Women’s Football League champions Rajshahi Stars FC for their historic AFC Women’s Champions League campaign. Bimala’s return marks her second stint with the club, as she prepares to represent Rajshahi and Bangladesh in one of Asia’s premier women’s club competitions.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Bimala was welcomed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport by Rajshahi Stars’ team manager and assistant coach. Expressing her excitement, Bimala stated, “I am happy to be playing for Rajshahi for the second time. I am even more excited to play in the AFC competition. It’s a great honor to compete on such a big stage, especially as Rajshahi and Bangladesh are appearing in the competition for the first time.”

Despite the limited preparation time and acknowledging the strength of her opponents, Bimala has conveyed her strong determination to perform well in the upcoming matches. “We don’t take our opponents lightly,
but that does not mean we are weak either. We want to win every match, become group champions and advance to the next round. We need your support for that,” said the Nepalese defender.
