Dhaka: The National Citizen Party (NCP) Dhaka North unit organized a ‘Victory Rickshaw Rally’ on Friday to mark the month of victory and promote unity against fascism. The event, led by the NCP Dhaka-13 constituency, began at Sher-e-Bangla Nagar Adarsha School and paraded through significant areas like Adabar, Mohammadpur, Basila, Lalmatia, and Rayerbazar.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, NCP Joint Member Secretary Akram Hossain spearheaded the event, which saw about a hundred festoon-adorned rickshaws carrying numerous party leaders and activists. Present at the rally were NCP Dhaka North Convener Ariful Islam Adeeb, Member Secretary Sardar Amirul Islam, along with other central and local leaders.
During the event, Akram Hossain, the NCP candidate for Dhaka-13 constituency, emphasized that December, the month of victory, remains a significant source of inspiration for the nation. He stated that the Victory Rickshaw Rally is both a celebration of the country’s glorious victory and a symbol of unity. He urged all anti-fascist forces to unite, highlighting the event as a reflection of communal spirit where participants pledge to fulfill their social and civic duties.
The NCP Dhaka North unit expressed appreciation to participants from all walks of life, including students, who joined the event.
