Chattogram: Rear Admiral Md Mainul Hasan, Commander of Chattogram Naval Region, announced that the Bangladesh Navy has deployed contingents to conduct regular patrols across the country. The initiative aims to maintain peace and order and ensure a joyous celebration of the upcoming Sharadiya Durga Puja.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the Navy is collaborating closely with local authorities, police, the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB), the army, and other law enforcement agencies. This coordinated effort seeks to prevent any untoward incidents and to ensure overall security during the Puja celebrations.
In preparation for the Sharadiya Durga Puja, the Bangladesh Navy has bolstered security in its areas of responsibility. Rear Admiral Hasan made these remarks while visiting the Ekta Group Sarbajanin Puja Mandap, where he exchanged greetings with the chief priest, the Puja organizing committee, local dignitaries, and devotees, as stated in a press release.
During his visit, Rear Admiral Hasan reviewed the field-level preparations, security arrangements, and coordinated activities of various forces. He also discussed security measures with representatives of the police, RAB, army, and other relevant forces.
The Navy has intensified security in regions such as Chattogram, Teknaf, Cox’s Bazar, St. Martin’s, Sandwip, Hatia, Maheshkhali, Kutubdia, Barguna, Bhola, Khulna, Bagerhat, and other coastal areas.
