Dhaka: The 43rd National Women’s ‘B’ Chess Championship, organised by the Bangladesh Chess Federation (BCF), is scheduled to kick off at the BCF hall-room this Thursday, August 14. The championship invites participation from all women and girls interested in chess, providing an opportunity for players to showcase their skills on a national platform.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, participants are required to register by Wednesday, August 13. They must enroll their names along with the prescribed entry fee at the BCF hall-room. Additionally, players representing various districts need to submit their names accompanied by a letter from their respective District Sports Associations by the same deadline.
The championship will span eight days and will be conducted in a nine-round Swiss-league format. A significant incentive for the competitors is that the top eight players will be granted entry to the final phase of this year’s National Women’s Chess Championship, offering them a chance to compete at an even higher level.
