National Road Safety Day Observed in Narsingdi with Emphasis on Helmet Quality and Speed Control

Narsingdi: National Road Safety Day-2025 was observed at Madhabdi in Narsingdi on Tuesday with the theme “Use quality helmets and maintain safe speed – reduce loss of life and property.” Nirapad Sarak Chai’s Madhabdi Thana and Municipality branches jointly organised a rally and discussion to mark the occasion.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the rally commenced from Madhabdi Sati Prosanna Institution and concluded in front of Rineok Market, passing through key roads in the area. The event aimed to raise awareness about road safety measures and the importance of adhering to safety regulations.



Speakers at the event highlighted that road safety has become a national demand, urging for strict enforcement of traffic rules and the introduction of a separate Road Safety Act. Additionally, prayers were offered for the recovery of actor and Nirapad Sarak Chai founder Ilias Kanchan, who has been a prominent advocate for road safety.



Local officials, teachers, students, and members of the public actively participated in the event, demonstrating community support for improved road safety measures and the reduction of traffic-related casualties.
