National Revolution and Solidarity Day Commemorated with Rally and Discussion in Netrakona.

Netrakona: National Revolution and Solidarity Day was observed here today in a befitting manner. District BNP and its associate organisations chalked out various programs highlighting the significance of the day. As part of the program, a colorful rally was brought out in the district town by BNP and its front organisations. Starting from district BNP office premises, the rally ended on Netrakona central Shaheed Minar premises after parading main roads of the district town. Later, a discussion was held on the Netrakona central Shaheed Minar premises.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the meeting was chaired by the convener of the district BNP and prominent Physician Dr. Anwarul Haque. It was addressed by former lawmaker and president of district BNP Ashrafuddin Khan, former president of district BNP Advocate Nuruzzamn Khan, senior joint convener of district BNP Mafujul Haque, and joint convener of district BNP SM Moniruzzamn Dudu. The meeting was conducted by member secretary of district BNP Dr. Rafi
qul Islam Hilai.

The speakers emphasized that November 7 is a historic day for the nation as Shaheed president Ziaur Rahman, who declared the country’s independence, was freed from the captivity of conspirator army officers on the day by fearless soldiers and patriotic people. They underlined the need for greater unity and solidarity of all nationalist forces with the spirit of November 7 to build the country as a democratic state and safeguard the independence and sovereignty of the country.
