Dhaka: The National Moon Sighting Committee is set to convene tomorrow at 6:30 pm to determine the date of the holy month of Zilqad for the year 1447 Hijri. The gathering will take place in the conference room of the Islamic Foundation at Baitul Mukarram, with the Minister for Religious Affairs, Kazi Shah Mofazzal Houssain Kaikobad, presiding over the meeting.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the Islamic Foundation has urged citizens to report any sightings of the Zilqad moon in the skies of Bangladesh. Observers are encouraged to notify authorities through the provided telephone numbers: 02-41053294, 02-226640510, and 02-223383397. Additionally, sighting information can be reported to the Deputy Commissioner of the respective district or the concerned Upazila Nirbahi Officer.
