Meherpur: A discussion and prize-distribution ceremony were held here today to mark National Library Day-2025. The District Administration and the District Government Public Library organized the event at the District Government Public Library auditorium in the morning.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the event was chaired by Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Tariqul Islam. The program featured speeches by Superintendent of Police Maksuda Akhtar Khanam and Civil Surgeon Dr. Mohi Uddin Ahmed, who attended as special guests.
Associate Professor Kazi Ashraful Alam from Meherpur Government Women’s College and District Librarian Afroza Khatun were also present at the event. The speakers emphasized the importance of promoting libraries as a means to enhance knowledge and educational development.
