Dhaka: The 42nd National Chess Championships, featuring Under-20, Open, and Girls Divisions, are set to commence on Tuesday, October 7, at the Bangladesh Chess Federation Hall Room. This eagerly anticipated event is organized by the Bangladesh Chess Federation and is open to boys and girls under the age of 20.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, a press release has confirmed that interested participants are required to register with an entry fee of Taka 200. Registrations can be completed at the Bangladesh Chess Federation office or online, with the deadline set for tomorrow, Monday.
The championships will employ a nine-round Swiss-league format for both the Open and Girls Divisions, spanning over eight days of intense competition.
