Dhaka: National Citizen Party (NCP) Convener Nahid Islam today exchanged views with the families of the martyrs and injured fighters from the July Uprising and inquired about their well-being at a special gathering.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, during the meeting at a restaurant at Merul Badda in the capital, Nahid expressed his solidarity with the families, reaffirming the NCP’s commitment to never forget the sacrifices made during the Uprising. Nahid, also a candidate for the Dhaka-11 constituency, criticized political parties and others for failing to support the martyrs’ families and the injured fighters.

We promise that we will never forget July.’ The meeting was also addressed by Advocate Atiqur Rahman, a member of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Majlis-e-Shura, who attended the view exchange session.
