Jhenaidah: A joint force arrested Bablur Rahman alias Ghena, an accused in a murder case, along with a foreign-made pistol from Kaliganj upazila of the district on Friday night. Bablur Rahman is implicated in the murder of two BNP workers, Yunus Ali and his brother Mohabbat Ali, who were killed in Jamal Union of Kaliganj upazila on June 1.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Shafiqul Islam, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Kaliganj Police Station, stated that the joint force conducted a drive in Gopalpur village under Kaliganj upazila, resulting in the arrest of Bablur Rahman. The arrest is significant due to the severity of the charges against him and the recovery of a foreign-made pistol during the operation.
Bablur Rahman faces multiple criminal charges, with several other cases currently pending against him at Kaliganj Police Station. The arrest follows ongoing efforts by law enforcement to address criminal activities within the region.
