Municipality provides scholarship to 214 students

Galyang municipality has provided scholarships to poor and diligent students to ensure that no one is deprived of higher education due to financial problems. Full scholarships have been provided to the very poor, disadvantaged and underprivileged students of Grade 11 and 12, said Himalal Bhandari, head of the education department of the Municipality. Such students of Galyang Multiple Campus and Malunga Multiple Campus have been provided Rs 10,800 as monthly fees. This year 214 students have been paid Rs. 1.3 million in monthly fee and scholarship, he said. Mayor of the Municipality Guru Prasad Bhattarai said that the scholarship was given to students with the aim of ensuring that no one is deprived of education due to inability to pay the monthly fee and to establish access to education for all.
