MP-Elect BNP Leader Tuku Vows to Establish a Terror-Free Society in Sirajganj

Sirajganj: BNP Standing Committee member and MP-elect from the Sirajganj-2 constituency, Iqbal Hasan Mahmud Tuku, has expressed his determination to create a terror-free society, enhance law and order, and ensure the safety of people's lives and property.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Tuku made these remarks while addressing a thanksgiving meeting and doa mahfil at the Central Jame Masjid, which coincided with the BNP's sweeping victory in the 13th Jatiya Sangsad Polls and Referendum 2026. He expressed his gratitude to Almighty Allah and acknowledged the support of the people who voted him into parliament for the development of Sirajganj.

Tuku also announced plans to transform Sirajganj into a traffic-free, modern, and unique city by developing the Katakhali area. He emphasized the critical need for drug control, labeling addiction and drugs as the ultimate adversaries of human civilization, responsible for destroying lives, igniting unrest in families, and creating societal lawlessness.

The newly elected MP committed to eliminating lawlessness and unrest by targeting and dismantling drug dens. The special prayer was conducted by Pesh Imam of Central Jame Masjid Khatib Mufti Hafez Maulana Abdullah Sorkar.

The event was attended by BNP National Executive Committee member and Sirajganj District BNP General Secretary Md Saidur Rahman Bachchu, Vice President Md Maqbul Hossain Chowdhury, Nazmul Hasan Talukder Rana, Senior Joint General Secretary VP Shamim Khan, Joint General Secretary Nur Kayem Sabuj, Joint General Secretary and Sirajganj Press Club President Harun or Rashid Khan Hasan, along with other BNP leaders and affiliated organizations. Sirajganj Judge Court PP and District Bar Association President Advocate Rafiq Sorker and Central Jame Mosque Management Committee General Secretary T A Hamid Tanha were also present.
