MoU Signed for LNG Payment to QatarEnergy

Dhaka: Petrobangla today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Bangladesh Krishi Bank for making 50 percent invoices payment to QatarEnergy for LNG import. The agreement marks a significant step in the financial arrangements for LNG imports under the government's long-term contract with QatarEnergy.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the MoU was signed by Secretary of Petrobangla Md Amzad Hossain and Deputy General Manager of Bangladesh Krishi Bank Ashish Kumar Das on behalf of their respective organizations. The ceremony was presided over by Director of Petrobangla AKM Mizanur Rahman.

General Manager, Dhaka Division of Bangladesh Krishi Bank Golam Md Arif and General Manager of Petrobangla Md Abdul Jalil were also present at the event, along with other concerned officials. The collaboration between the two entities is aimed at streamlining the payment process for LNG imports, a crucial component of Bangladesh's energy strategy.
