MoU Signed Between Rajshahi University and Yamagata University for Student Exchange and Research Collaboration

Dhaka: A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and a Student Exchange Agreement were signed today between the Faculty of Engineering of Rajshahi University (RU) and the Faculty of Engineering of Yamagata University, Japan. According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the MoU and the agreement were signed by Professor Mamunur Rashid, Vice-Chancellor (Education) in charge of the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, RU, and Professor Yoshimune Nonomura, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Yamagata University.

Professor Hasnat Kabir, Director (Additional Charge) of the ICT Center, and Professor Muhammad Sajjadur Rahim, Director of the Office of International Affairs, were present among others at the signing ceremony. Under the signed MoU and agreement, there will be opportunities for the exchange of 5 students each year between the two universities, as well as exchange of teachers and researchers, joint research and publications, exchange of academic information, and implementation of joint education and research-based initiatives.

Through the student exchange agreement, participating students will have the opportunity to study at Yamagata University for periods ranging from one semester to one academic year, with a tuition fee waiver applicable at the host university.
