At budget-consumer pricing, Motorola recently stormed the market with the Edge series and Motorola Edge 20 Fusion is the new addition. It was first released in August 2021 in the Indian market. If you want to buy a mid-range phone that has 5G connectivity, the Motorola Edge 20 series is a good option. Overall, the Edge 20 series have a very clear, bright screen that offers an impressive experience, the long-lasting battery life provides countless hours of use, the adjustable camera can be customized prior to use and the well-designed software allows you to use the phones easily. However, we are not focusing on all the phones on Edge 20 series. We are going to review Motorola Edge 20 fusion.

Key Features of Motorola Edge 20 Fusion

Design

The Motorola Edge 20 Fusion smartphone measures approximately 163x78x8.25mm. It is bigger in size than the Motorola Edge 20, which measures 163x76x8.25mm. The Fusion includes a plastic back with a matte finish, a plastic chassis, and a plastic cover. The back of the phone has a square-shaped camera module that holds a triple rear camera setup, as well as an LED flash. The Motorola logo is prominently displayed in the middle of the screen at the back of the phone.

The Motorola Edge 20 Fusion is a bulky phone that is not very comfortable to use. Its back is a fingerprint magnet, making it difficult to keep clean. Motorola offers a transparent back cover to help keep the phone clean; however, this does not improve the appearance of the phone.

Display

The Motorola Edge 20 Fusion’s 6.7-inch OLED display features a Full HD+ resolution of 2400×1080 pixels. However, these features are identical to the Motorola Edge 20 smartphone. The Motorola Edge 20 Fusion includes a screen with a refresh rate of 90Hz, while the Motorola Edge 20 offers a 144Hz screen refresh rate.

Now, you would think that these small differences in refresh rate will make a big difference. Though you probably wouldn’t notice unless you play games that have high-end graphics. In general, you will not recognize any differences among 60 Hz displays, 90 Hz displays, or 144 Hz displays unless you are looking for them.

Apart from the refresh rate, the Motorola Edge 20 Fusion’s display is one of the nicer aspects of the gadget. It is bright with adequate contrast. What’s good about this phone is that there are enough screen choices, even in direct sunlight.

Camera

Motorola’s Edge 20 Fusion offers a triple rear camera setup that includes a 108MP primary sensor, a 2MP depth sensor, and an 8MP ultra-wide-angle sensor. On the front, the Motorola Edge 20 smartphone has a 32MP selfie camera. The device also gets the same specifications as the Motorola Edge 20. While the specs may not be the greatest, the camera setup is still good.

Nevertheless, the rear camera setup on the Motorola Edge 20 Fusion is definitely one of the best features of the phone. Regardless of the lighting conditions, it can snap Insta-ready photos quickly and easily.

The images captured with this phone are crisp and clear, with good depth. This phone snaps equally balanced pics even in low light conditions, with no trace of noise at all. Moreover, the on-device algorithm quickly smoothens the images.

The rear camera setup on this phone is impressive, but the front camera falls short. Images clicked in low-light and indoor lighting conditions lack clarity, and even when the phone captures decent images using the night mode, they often have a warmer tint.

Performance

The Motorola Edge 20 Fusion is an excellent phone for anyone looking for a reliable device that can handle everything you throw at it. With its smooth performance and easy-to-use interface, the Edge 20 Fusion is perfect for anyone looking for an all-around phone.

The Motorola Edge 20 Fusion comes equipped with Motorola’s My UX Operating System. It is based on Android 11, however, there are a few small differences. For example, Google’s Search Bar sports a squarer look as opposed to being rounded, and Android 11’s app drawer features a slightly enlarged design when compared to regular UX. However, these differences do not impact the user experience in any significant way.

The Moto Edge 20 Fusion comes equipped with MediaTek Dimensity 800U 5G. It features two Arm Cortex-A76 processors clocked at 4GHz and six Arm Cortex-A55 processors with a clock speed of 2GHz. The 7nm fabrication process is used to make the chipset.

The phone comes in two versions with 6GB and 8GM RAM while the internal storage is 128GB. In addition to that, the memory can be expanded to 2GB as virtual memory.

The phone incorporates a hybrid card slot. The Motorola Edge 20 Fusion allows you to select 11 global 5G bands, which can be useful if you want to use the device for an extended time.

Battery

Its 5000 mAh battery makes it a great choice for those who need extended battery life without sacrificing features. Despite its large battery, the phone doesn’t weigh too much. It is only 185 gm. The Moto Edge 20 Fusion support TurboPower 30 fast charging technology, which helps to charge the phone quickly.

Price of Motorola Edge 20 Fusion

The price for Motorola Edge 20 Fusion 6/128GB is $289. In Bangladeshi currency the price stands at approximately BDT 25,000 ($1=BDT 86.24). However, in Bangladesh the official price for Motorola Edge 20 Fusion may vary due to tax and other issues.

Verdict

The Motorola Edge 20 Fusion is a great device for anyone looking for a quality mid-range phone. The phone has an impressive camera, long battery life, and a sleek design. We highly recommend this phone to anyone in the market for a new device.

The Dimensity 800U chipset brings the best screen experience with a 10-bit OLED display. The chipset is powerful enough for day-to-day tasks along with some casual gaming. The Moto Edge 20 Fusion has a number of features that set it apart from the competition, including gesture controls and customization options that make the software experience more enjoyable.
