Motorcyclists in Khulna Mandated to Wear Helmets by KMP Commissioner

Khulna: Khulna Metropolitan Police (KMP) Commissioner Md. Zulfiqar Ali Haider has issued a directive requiring both motorcyclists and their pillion passengers to wear helmets while on the road. He emphasized the importance of collaboration among all stakeholders to maintain law and order in Khulna city.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the commissioner announced the directive during a KMP welfare meeting at the multipurpose hall of Boyra Police Lines. The meeting commenced with a review of the progress on previous proposals, followed by instructions to relevant officers to address the demands made by police members of various ranks promptly.

The commissioner highlighted the dedication of senior supervising officers in ensuring that facilities are provided at all levels of the KMP. He also expressed gratitude for the maintenance of cleanliness at the Police Lines and encouraged police personnel to consume seasonal fruits to enhance their health and boost immunity.

Acting Superintendent of Khulna Divisional Police Hospital Dr. Syed AKM Karim shared crucial health tips with attendees, advising them to remain vigilant against chikungunya and dengue and to seek medical help promptly if symptoms appear.

Additionally, the commissioner honored two retiring police members with flowers, crests, and gifts, extending wishes for their good health and longevity. The event was attended by Additional Police Commissioners Abu Raihan Md. Saleh and Md. Rashidul Islam Khan, along with other senior officers.
