Naogaon: A motorcyclist was killed and two pillions were injured as their vehicle rammed into a tree losing its control at Syedpur on Manikura-Jabai Beel road in Sapahar upazila of the district today. Police identified the deceased as Farhad Hossain, 20, son of Sayem Ali of Madhuil Alia Madrasahpara area of Patnitala upazila in the district.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the motorcycle lost control in an apparent speedy movement and hit the tree, leaving Farhad dead on the spot, while his two co-riders sustained injuries. The accident occurred as the trio was en route to visit Jabai Beel after renting the motorbike from the Sapahar Zero Point area.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Sapahar police station, Abdul Aziz, stated that the police have recovered Farhad’s body and returned it to his family members. The investigation into the accident is ongoing to determine further details surrounding the incident.
