Cumilla: A motorcycle rider was killed when a freight lorry hit his bike in the Kangshanagar Bazar area under Burichang upazila of the district this morning. The deceased was identified as Saddam Hossain, 36, son of Abdul Barek from Barpara in Cumilla Adarsha Sadar upazila.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the accident occurred on the Cumilla-Sylhet highway around 8:30 am when a lorry collided with the motorcycle from the opposite direction. Sergeant Shahparan of Mainamati Highway Police Station reported that the collision left Saddam Hossain dead on the spot.
