Sylhet: A motorcycle rider named Md. Anwar Hossain lost his life in a road accident when a truck collided with his bike in the Haripur area under Jaintapur upazila. Anwar, aged 45, was an employee of ACI Company and a resident of Barishal district.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the incident occurred on the Sylhet-Tamabil highway at approximately 4:00 pm. The collision was severe, and Anwar was pronounced dead at the scene. Habibur Rahman, Officer-in-Charge of Tamabil Highway Police, confirmed that the truck hit the motorcycle from the opposite direction, leading to the fatal accident.
Authorities have filed a case regarding the incident. Further investigations are likely to follow as authorities seek to understand the circumstances that led to the accident.
