Dhaka: Additional Inspector General of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) Mosleh Uddin Ahmed and Superintendent of Police of Dhaka district Shamima Parveen have been elected unopposed as president and general secretary, respectively, of the Bangladesh Police Service Association for the next one year. The election took place on Wednesday afternoon at the Bangladesh Police Auditorium in Rajarbagh Police Lines, marking the conclusion of Police Week 2026.
According to United News of Bangladesh, the election saw Mosleh Uddin Ahmed and Shamima Parveen take on these significant roles within the Bangladesh Police Service Association without opposition, reflecting the confidence and trust placed in them by their peers. The event served as a highlight of the fourth and final day of Police Week 2026, an occasion dedicated to recognizing the achievements and contributions of the police force in Bangladesh.
