More Entrepreneurs Inspired by Bengal Meat, Says Fisheries and Livestock Adviser

Santhia: Fisheries and Livestock Adviser Farida Akhter has expressed hope that more entrepreneurs in the country will be encouraged to follow the example set by Bengal Meat. She shared her optimism during a recent visit to Bengal Meat Processing Industries Limited located at Santhia upazila.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Adviser Akhter conveyed her satisfaction with the global standard management practices observed at Bengal Meat. She was accompanied by Director General of Livestock Directorate Dr. Md Abu Sufian, Deputy Commissioner of Pabna Mohammad Mofizul Islam, Upazila Nirbahi Officer of Santhia Rizu Tamanna, and the head of procurement at Bengal Meat, Chhayadul Haque Bhuiyan.

During her visit, Adviser Akhter explored the company’s advanced meat processing infrastructure, Effluent Treatment Plant, water treatment facilities, biogas plant, and other environment-friendly technologies. She noted that such industrial entrepreneurship could significantly contribute to the country’s export capabil
ities, rural economic development, and the livestock sector.

Following the inspection, Adviser Akhter engaged in discussions with senior officials of Bengal Meat. The conversations centered around government policy supports, necessary facilities for the sector, and the future planning and prospects for growth in this industry.
