Manikganj: A mobile court seized more than 150 pieces of banned china current nets from different areas of Charkatari, Baghutia, and Bachamara union of the Daulatpur Upazila today from the Jamuna River. Daulatpur Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Nahian Nuren conducted the mobile court.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the seized current nets were destroyed in the presence of the people because they are harmful and kill fish and all kinds of aquatic animals. The UNO stated that the conducting of the mobile court will be continued to save the water animals.
