Chuadanga: A minor girl was killed when a trolley ran over her at Madhabpur village under Jibannagar upazila of the district today. The deceased was Samia Akhter, 05, daughter of Shahjahan Ali of Madhabpur village. The accident took place at noon when a trolley ran over her while she was crossing the road. Seriously injured Samia was taken to Jibannagar Upazila Health Complex, where the on-duty doctors declared her dead. Assistant Superintendent of Police (Damurhuda Circle) Anwarul Kabir confirmed the matter. A case was filed with Jibannagar Police Station in this connection.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the tragic incident has raised concerns about road safety in the area. Local authorities are expected to review the circumstances surrounding the accident to prevent similar occurrences in the future. Community members have expressed their condolences to the family of Samia Akhter.
