Netrakona: An 18-month-old boy drowned in a canal at Koirakhali village under Kolmakanda upazila of the district today. The deceased was Mustafa, son of Zahirul Islam of the same village.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Mustafa suddenly fell into the canal near their house this afternoon while he was playing beside it. He was quickly rescued and taken to Kolmakanda Upazila Health Complex where the on-duty doctor declared the child dead.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Kolmakanda Police Station Mohammad Lutfur Rahman confirmed the matter.
