Kathmandu: The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology and Rastriya Samachar Samiti (RSS) on Monday signed an agreement on the release of the grant to the RSS.
Ministry’s Under Secretary Ramkrishna Aryal and RSS Executive Chairman Dharmendra Jha signed the agreement.
The agreement includes providing grants to RSS for operating Nepali news bulletin round the clock, beginning news service in the mother tongue, purchasing equipment and maintaining RSS offices.
On the occasion, Jha urged the Ministry for special initiative and facilitation to make RSS self-reliant.
Likewise, Under Secretary Aryal expressed confidence that RSS will be able to execute the plans in the given timeline.
