Millstone Tragedy Victims to Receive Financial Assistance

Dhaka: The government has announced a financial assistance package for the families affected by the recent Air Force training aircraft crash at Milestone School and College in Uttara. This decision was made during the weekly Council of Advisers meeting, chaired by Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus at the Chief Adviser’s Office.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the government will provide Taka 20 lakh to the families of each of the 36 individuals who lost their lives in the Millstone tragedy. Additionally, those injured in the incident will receive Taka 5 lakh each as a one-time financial aid.



In a briefing at the Foreign Service Academy, Chief Adviser’s Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam stated that injured individuals requiring long-term treatment would be eligible for free medical care at government hospitals. They will be issued registration cards to facilitate their medical treatment.
