Dhaka: The National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery (NIBPS) has released three more burn victims from the fighter jet crash at the Milestone School and College in the capital's Uttara.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the students Alvira, 10, Samia, 10, and Nusrat, 12, were discharged this afternoon after their conditions showed significant improvement. Dr. Shawon Bin Rahman, a resident surgeon at NIBPS, confirmed the release of the students, bringing the total number of burn victims discharged from the institute to 23.
Despite the progress, 13 individuals injured in the crash remain under treatment at the institute. The incident occurred on July 21, when a Bangladesh Air Force fighter jet collided with a two-storey building of the Milestone School and College shortly after it took off around 1 pm. The crash has resulted in 35 fatalities, including the pilot, as confirmed by Health Ministry officials.
