Milestone School Jet Crash: Student Released from Burn Institute

Dhaka: The National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery (NIBPS) today released one more student who suffered burn injuries in the tragic fighter jet crash at Milestone School and College in the capital's Uttara.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, an eleven-year-old student of Milestone School and College, Hafsa, was discharged as her condition improved, stated NIBPS Resident Surgeon Dr Shawon Bin Rahman. This release brings the total number of burn victims from the crash who have been discharged to 24, while 12 others continue to receive treatment.

On July 21, a Bangladesh Air Force fighter jet crashed into a two-storey building of Milestone School and College shortly after take-off around 1 pm, resulting in the death of 35 people, including the pilot, as reported by Health Ministry officials.
