Mild heat wave sweeping over country

(BMD) in a press release this evening said a mild to moderate heat

wave has been sweeping over Dhaka, Mymensingh, Rajshahi, Rangpur,

Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions.

“Mild to moderate heat wave is sweeping over Dhaka, Mymensingh,

Rajshahi, Rangpur, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions

and it may continue,” the met office said in the 24 hours weather

forecast commencing at 6pm today.

Weather is likely to remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy

sky over the country during the period while day and night temperature

may remain nearly unchanged over the country, it added.

The highest temperature was recorded 39.8 degrees Celsius today at

Jashore in Khulna while minimum temperature of the day was recorded

21.8 degrees Celsius at Srimangal in Sylhet.

The sun sets at 6.24pm today and rises at 5.27am tomorrow in the

capital while the sun will set tomorrow at 6.25pm.
