Dhaka: A mild earthquake was felt in Dhaka and its surrounding areas today. The tremor occurred at 5:32 pm, as reported by the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD).
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the earthquake was of mild intensity, confirmed by the met office. The tremor, precisely recorded at 5:32:32 pm, had its epicenter in Gowainghat, Sylhet, measuring 4.0 on the Richter scale.
The epicenter was located 214 kilometers northeast of the BMD Earthquake Monitoring and Research Centre in Agargaon, Dhaka.
