Dhaka: Dhaka Metro made a winning start to the NCL T20 tournament, crushing Rajshahi Division by seven wickets at Rajshahi Divisional Stadium today. The match was interrupted by rain, which eventually made it a five-over game. Being sent to bat first, Rajshahi put on 60-3, a total that Metro overhauled in 4.3 overs, losing three wickets.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Mahfijul Islam Robin led the charge with 12 ball-30 not out, an inning laced with four fours and one six. His innings was enough to seal the deal as no other batter of Metro could reach double-digit mark.

Sabbir Rahman was the top-scorer for Rajshahi with an unbeaten 33 off 15. He smote one four and three sixes. Alongside him, Meherob Hasan was not out on 15.

The match between Rangpur and Sylhet, held in Bogra Stadium was washed out eventually due to the inclement weather.
