The Metro rail will run from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm instead of 8am to 12pm from January 25.

Considering the passengers’ demand, the timing has been changed, said MAN Siddique, managing director of Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited (DMTCL), in a press conference today.

Besides, Mirpur’s Pallabi Station will open for passengers on the same day so that more people can enjoy the service, he added.

As the government started the operation on a limited scale, there was no stoppage from Uttara Uttar station to Agargaon station. But now, Metrorail will also stop at Pallabi station from January 25.

According to Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited (DMTCL), the rail operation till Motijheel may start by the end of 2024, and Kamalapur by 2025. By December 2024, metro rail will start operation from Agargaon to Kamalapur route with 24 trains.
