Dhaka: MetLife Bangladesh has settled claims amounting to Taka 1,384 crore during the first six months (January-June) of 2026, covering insurance benefits and payments for loss of life and medical needs. In a media release today, MetLife Bangladesh Chief Executive Officer Ala Ahmad emphasized the company's commitment to supporting customers and their families during critical times by enhancing the claims process to be faster, simpler, and more transparent. According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, MetLife Bangladesh's proactive approach and efficient settlement have led to higher customer satisfaction and strengthened trust in the insurance sector. In 2025, MetLife Bangladesh settled Taka 2,895 crore in claims, marking the highest claims settlement among all life insurance companies in the country while maintaining a strong claims settlement ratio of 98 percent, one of the highest in the industry. Customers benefit from a streamlined process, with claims requests submitted online and payments typically disb ursed within three to five working days. MetLife currently serves around 10 lakh individual customers and more than 900 corporate clients in Bangladesh.
