Met Office Predicts Light Rain or Drizzle Over Parts of Country

Dhaka: Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) today said that weather may remain mainly dry over the country, but there are chances of light rain or drizzle at one or two places over Rangpur division for the next 24 hours beginning from this morning. "Weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky over the country, having chances of light rain or drizzle at one or two places over Rangpur division," according to the forecast starting from 9 am.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the ridge of the sub-continental high extends to West Bengal and the adjoining area. A seasonal low lies over the South Bay, extending its trough to the North Bay. Light to moderate fog may occur at places over the country from midnight to morning.

Night temperatures may remain nearly unchanged across the country, while day temperatures may fall slightly over the Rangpur division and remain nearly unchanged elsewhere. The country's maximum temperature on Sunday was recorded at 30.0 degrees Celsius in Rangamati, and the minimum temperature today was recorded at 11.6 degrees Celsius in Jashore.
