Dhaka:Masud Rumee, the Deputy Editor and Head of Business at Kaler Kantho, and Kumar Bishwajit Roy, a senior reporter for Bangladesh Television (BTV), have been elected as the President and General Secretary of the Technology Media Guild Bangladesh (TMGB) for the 2026-2028 term.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the election results were announced by the Chief Election Commissioner Hasan Hafiz, who is also the President of the National Press Club. The announcement followed the organization's biennial election held at the National Press Club.
In addition to the president and general secretary, the newly elected committee includes Golam Dustogir Touhid of techvision24.com as Vice-President, Badruddoza Mahmud Tuhin of DigiBangla as Joint Secretary, Mahadi Hasan Shimul of RTV as Treasurer, Rashed Imam of techshohor.com as Organising Secretary, and Farhana Huq Nila of sarabangla.net as Publicity and Training Secretary. Outgoing President Mohammad Kawsar Uddin of Daily Sangbad and Enamul Haque Majumder of The Business Standard were elected as executive members.
