Chattogram: The maritime ports of Chattogram, Cox's Bazar, Mongla, and Payra have been instructed to hoist local cautionary signal No. 3. This directive follows the formation of a low-pressure area over the Northwest Bay and adjacent regions of West Bengal and North Odisha coasts. The system is anticipated to move in a West-Northwest direction, potentially affecting maritime operations.

According to United News of Bangladesh, a Met office bulletin highlights the potential impact of squally weather on the maritime ports, North Bay, and adjoining coastal areas of Bangladesh. In response to these conditions, all fishing boats and trawlers operating over North Bay have been advised to remain near the coast and exercise caution until further notice.
