Chattogram: Maritime ports of Chattogram, Cox’s Bazar, Mongla, and Payra have been instructed to hoist local cautionary signal No 3 due to the active monsoon and continuing deep convection over the North Bay.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the MET office issued a press release stating that under the influence of the active monsoon, gusty and squally weather conditions may impact the maritime ports, the North Bay, and the adjoining coastal areas of Bangladesh.

All fishing boats and trawlers operating over the North Bay have been advised to return close to the coast and proceed with caution until further notice.
