A man was killed in a clash over a land-
related dispute in Modhdho Siddha area in Damudya upazila of the district
today.
The deceased was identified as Sirajul Islam Majhi, 55, hailed from the area.
Local people said the incident occurred this morning in the area. Slain
Sirajul Islam had a clash with his nephew over the ownership of a piece of
land.
In the morning, they were indulging in exchanging hot words over the issue.
At one stage of their altercation, his nephew Jahangir Majhi allegedly hit
him with an iron stick.
Critically wounded Sirajul was brought at Bhedarganj Upazila Health Complex
where the duty doctor declared him dead.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Damudya Thana Hafijur Rahman confirmed.
A case was filed in this connection.
