Man Killed in Conflict Over Land Dispute in Narail

Narail: A 36-year-old man was killed and two others were injured in a clash between two groups of villagers over a land dispute at Beledanga village in Naragati upazila of Narail district on Monday. The deceased was identified as Yusuf Molla, son of Moniruzzaman Molla of Beledanga village in the upazila.



According to United News of Bangladesh, Abdur Rahim, officer-in-charge of Naragati Police Station, stated that Yusuf Molla and his cousin Ata Molla had been at odds over a piece of land for an extended period. The ongoing conflict led to an altercation between the cousins around 9:00 am.



The situation escalated when both groups attacked each other, resulting in injuries to Yusuf, Firoz, and Ashraful. The injured were taken to a local hospital, where doctors declared Yusuf dead.



Police efforts are underway to arrest the attackers, as reported by the officer-in-charge. Additionally, extra police forces have been deployed in the area to prevent further disturbances.
