Khulna: Police arrested a man with 10 grams of gold from Sachibunia area under Lobonchora Police Station in the metropolis last night. On a tip-off, a team of the police conducted a sudden raid in Sachibunia Biswaroad area and arrested Govinda Chandra Das, 38, hailed from Chandankar area in Shariatpur district, with the gold worth around Taka 12.7 lakh.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Ahsan Habib, additional deputy commissioner of Khulna Metropolitan Police, confirmed that a case was lodged with Lobonchora Police Station in connection with the arrest.
